The 2012 ”Hack” Incident

On April 1, 2012, a major incident on Roblox caused many things of the site to be changed, including banners, catalog items, and user accounts. Users affected by the incident reported that their accounts could no longer be used until after the incident.

By the morning of April 1, 2012, a user named DracoSwordMaster had gotten access to the administrator only features of the site and had caused the now infamous event, changing elements of the site to their bidding. By the end of April 1, 2012, administrators had gained access back to the site and restored most of the damages caused by Draco.
